So I return from my vacation, which was absolutely wonderful by the way, to turn on the only radio station I listen to in Chicago, only to find they are now a "talk radio" station.  First off, I absolutely *HATE* talk radio and secondly there are no stations now worth listening to in Chicago, all that is left is corporate crap or "classic" rock stations that play the same 20 songs from the 80s.  And do loyal listeners like me even get the decency of an email about the change? No there's some schlock on their website about how there's no "progressive" talk radio in Chicago which I'm sure is bull, but so is talk radio. And they have the nerve to continue to carry their horrible dance factory show from 9pm to 5am which is something I complained about as well. But you know it's not fair to the 5 people who probably listened to their am frequency so those of us who supported indie radio just got it shoved in our faces.
Well, I guess I will be going radio free from now on and will keep the car stocked with CDs.
